African Cup of Nations 2017 is fast approaching and the host country Gabon is putting all effort to get things done before the kick-off in early January 2017. This will be the very first time in the history of
AFCON where Gabon will independently host a football event such as the
African Cup of Nations. Though in 2012 they co-hosted with Equatorial Guinea in and were denied to reach the semis after all their effort was thwarted by the Malians in a penalty shootout.
